Covid-19 Virus Update

In an effort to further improve the safety of our guests, the following additional protocols went into effect Saturday, March 21st, 2020 at the Santiam Golf Club. Some or all may have been modified from our original content to better protect our members, guests and staff as well as to better serve our customers.

1 – Power Carts – Our power golf cart fleet has 48 rental carts available.  We are requesting all players capable of walking do so that guests who are physically not capable of walking will have power carts available.

A – Power carts MUST be in by 4:30 pm .  NO EXCEPTIONS!! (modified 11/15/2020)

B – In accordance with the social distancing rules set forth by Governor Brown in Section 1 paragraph c of Executive Order 20-12, we will allow individuals who are members of their immediate household to share a power cart.  Both players MUST produce a valid picture ID with matching residence. NO EXCEPTIONS!! Failure to produce a valid picture ID by either party will result in each player having to take their own power cart.  In addition, with confirmation from the Oregon Golf Association, the Governor’s office will allow guests who arrive in the same motor vehicle to the golf club to share a golf cart.  All other players must be single riders and have one bag ONLY in all power carts including privately owned carts.  Children under the age of 17 are permitted to ride with a parent only in the golf cart. (Modified 6/6/2020)

2 – Flags MUST remain in the cup at all times and are NOT permitted to be tended nor removed.  Violators may be subject to removal from the property.

3 – No more than four customers shall be permitted in the golf shop at any one time.  Customers waiting to pay must stand on designated spots while awaiting their turn to checkout.  This number may further decrease as time goes on. (modified 3/27/20)

4 – Bunker rakes have been removed from all bunkers.  Play from bunkers shall proceed in the following manner:

Lift ball and smooth sand to satisfactory conditions with your foot.   Place ball as close as possible to original position.  Play on.                                                                                                                                                                   NO PENALTY!!

5 – We ask when possible to pay with credit or debit card to reduce the passing of bills and change.

6 – We have placed inserts in the cups which will allow the ball to drop into the cup but not fall all the way to the bottom.  This will allow for the ball to be holed out without needing to reach below the surface to retrieve your ball. (modified 3/27/20)

Please keep in mind these protocols are being implemented to protect you, not inconvenience you.  Our goal is to remain open through this crisis to provide a recreational outlet for our members and the community.
